Xi'an celebrated the 16th China Tourism Day on May 19, offering citizens and tourists a cultural and tourism feast — blending ancient charm and modern vibes through online live broadcasts and offline experiences.

The Xi'an City Tour bus, a national exemplary case of the integrated development of transportation and tourism, departed from the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda and passed through the city's iconic landmarks. Following the moving vehicle, the live broadcast featured Li Bai (a Tang poet) as a virtual guide, taking audiences on a journey spanning 1,000 years and allowing passengers to experience the rich cultural ambiance of the prosperous Tang Dynasty (618-907).

During the live broadcast, representatives from cultural and tourism authorities and enterprises in Xincheng district, Weiyang district, and Chanba International Port delivered themed tourism presentations.

Focusing on the Yisu Society and the Bell Tower business circle, Xincheng district has created immersive scenes that integrate hanfu (traditional Chinese clothing) culture, folk life, and red cultural heritage. Highlighting the scenery of the Qinling Mountains and the rhythms of urban life, Xi'an Tourism Group presented enjoyable travel experiences featuring beautiful landscapes, rich culture, delicious food, and comfortable accommodations. Chanba International Port emphasized sports events, performances, culture, and technology, presenting a new vision of Xi'an's open and innovative development.

Xi'an introduced preferential policies for China Tourism Day and exclusive cultural and tourism benefits tied to the Xi'an-Shiyan High-speed Railway, with a total of 41 measures covering scenic spot tickets, hotel accommodation, and dining.

The Xi'an municipal bureau of culture and tourism, together with Shaanxi Tourism Group and Xi'an Tourism Group, has launched exclusive discounts for tourists from Hubei province and passengers taking the Xi'an-Shiyan High-speed Railway. The offers will remain valid until the end of 2026. Tourists can enjoy the discounts by presenting their ID cards and high-speed railway tickets.
