A media delegation from Cyprus visited Xi'an from July 15 to 18 for in-depth exchanges with local media.

The delegation visited Xi'an Museum and Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum Site Museum to gain an up-close experience of the profound heritage of Chinese civilization. They said that Xi'an's precious cultural relics deserve to be shared with more people across Europe.

At the China-Europe Railway Express (Xi'an) Logistics Hub, the delegation gained detailed insights about its integration with the overall framework of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). In the first half of this year, 3,310 trains were operated, marking an 8.3 percent year-on-year growth. Journalists from Cyprus said that the China-Europe Railway Express is not merely a carrier for economic and trade exchanges, but also an important link connecting all countries involved in the BRI and advancing people-to-people bonds.

At LONGi Green Energy Technology Co, the delegation witnessed cutting-edge achievements of China's photovoltaic industry and its green development practices. They asked detailed questions about technical specifications, power generation efficiency, and other aspects of photovoltaic modules, and praised China's innovative accomplishments in green energy.

The delegation also toured the film and television base of Xi'an International Communication Center, learning about the planning concepts behind Xi'an's overseas city communication and its high-quality international communication works. Media representatives from Cyprus shared their country's media experience and insights in cross-cultural communication. The two sides held in-depth discussions on topics including program cooperation, technology sharing, and talent exchange.

During their visit, the delegates explored a city where tradition and modernity interweave, and where openness and innovation advance hand in hand. They hoped to share the stories of Xi'an, enabling more people in Cyprus and across Europe to get to know a true and comprehensive China.
