Train G9997 departed Xi'andong Railway Station on Sept 28 for Ankangxi Railway Station, marking the launch of the Xi'an-Ankang High-speed Railway.

Running through Xi'an, Shangluo, and Ankang in Shaanxi province, the railway stretches 171 kilometers and operates at 350 km per hour, passing Xi'andong and the newly built Niubeiliang, Zhashuixi, Zhen'anxi, and Ankangxi stations.

Utilizing Xi'an's role as a transportation hub, the opening of the Xi'an-Ankang High-speed Railway completes the north-south transport axis, allowing Shaanxi's asterisk-shaped high-speed rail network to take shape.

The railway will further strengthen the national high-speed rail network and boost connectivity between the Guanzhong area and the Chengdu-Chongqing region, providing strong support for coordinated regional development.
